Hate to see AU not get Boom but think it makes sense for Muschamp. The Coach in waiting crap never works. Best of luck to Coach Muschamp.

Jack Arute - Sirius 91 *College Sport* just announced that Muschamp is going to SC.

We should find out shortly if Scout was his source....

well it's on wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_Muschamp#Florida_Gators

so that makes it official, right?

quote:

On December 5, 2014, Will was hired as the Defensive Coordinator/Head Coach in waiting, (unconfirmed) replacing Lorenzo Ward. Muschamp will seek to turn around a defense that was one of the worst in SEC history. When Dabo Swinney, head cheerleader at MooU heard about the hire, he ran home crying to his Momma. Chad Morris, head coach of SMU, laughed because he dodged a huge bullet. Mark Richt, UGA head coach, requested prayer for his offensive players

So, if made HC after Spurrier, Boom will have success at a school with less football prestige that is located in a state that is relatively devoid of talent compared to Florida?

Makes perfect sense.

Would be surprise if Muschamp went to Auburn with the type of offense Malzahn runs. It usually means the defense takes it on the chin and takes a backseat to importance.

Going to a ball control offense/non uptempo offense usually bodes better for the DC.

I think if that's the way he thought about it he would have never even considered Auburn. He knew what offense Gus ran to start with.

I would normally agree. Except Auburn isn't even in the top 25 in play count, slow as shite to snap and almost exclusively runs the ball.

We essentially are a slow ball control team now

Either you didn't watch us this year or you missed the threads debunking that

We're middle of the road in the nation in TOP and number of plays run

No. SC fans are hanging their hat on Scout which no one realized still existed til this morning

Auburn is hanging their hat on insiders, former players, and former coaches

Although one insider did say there was a chance Champ would go to USC if they offered HCIW but thought that Boom wasn't foolish enough to do that

Isn't a HUNH team currently #1 in scoring defense and total defense?

Muschamp is going to Auburn. He is using the Old Ball Sack and USC to get more money from Auburn. He will never consider USC.

You obviously feel like USC is getting him, so why do you believe that y'all are?
