Two episodes in and I'm thinking this is right up the Tigerdroppings Movie/TV board alley.

Question: would you watch if President Obama were forced to frick a pig on live TV?

I was just coming here to post on this show. I think the second episode of Black Mirror might be the best single episode of TV I have ever seen.

NO!

I'm surprised some sick ISIS frick hasn't come up with that idea yet.

Those first two episodes were jaw dropping. The pig fricking one was so tense and twisted. You know that's how that kind of shite would play out too

There is an episode where a guy fricks a pig? Seriously? I was going to actually try that show out, but now I think I'll pass. What the frick, people.

The episode deals with a popular member of the Royal Family being kidnapped. Her captors put up a video on YouTube and say the only way she will be released safely is if the Prime Minister has sex with a pig on live TV. It's tasteless, yes, but it is played straight and tense and the acting is top-notch.

Unless it isn't shown or really even implied that the Prime Minister does this, I won't be watching.

This really got your panties in a wad... Were you touched by a pig as a child?

It is really a great episode of TV. And do you really think that if he did frick the pig, that they would show penetration or anything close to that?

An amazing episode, indeed... an Xbox dystopia that seems too possible for comfort.

That was an amazing episode. Geez it was depressing though. It was all so meaningless.

I don't want to even think about it. It makes me want to vomit.

What the frick, man? This is a completely inappropriate response. You like the show. Again, unless it's just a demand made by the kidnappers and there isn't some indication that the Prime Minister did this, it's too much for me. And that's okay.

Now kindly play in traffic.

Do you watch human beings being fake-killed in all manner of brutal ways on TV and in movies?

Women being fake-raped?

Cities being fake-destroyed?

But watching a pig being fake-fricked is where you draw the line?

Incidentally, it is not graphic.

Probably the most penetrating critique of contemporary internet / popular culture you'll ever see on TV. And yeah, it's unrelentingly dark.

It doesn't have to make sense to you, it just is what it is. For what it's worth, gore films like Hostel and shite also make me want to vomit. Hated that shitty movie. Honestly, the only reason I could stomach the first part of Zero Dark Thirty was because... well... 'Merica.

Okay, fair enough. Perhaps then I wouldn't mind watching the episode.

Well that's fair--torture porn doesn't do it for me either.

I can take disgusting shite when it's artful or smart (for the most part), however.

I just watched the first two after seeing this thread. I think I liked the first one more, but both so far have been worth seeing.

3rd episode of first season is all sorts of suck, but liked the first two episodes.
