Rosie Gray finds Bobby Jindal trying hard not to annoy too many Republicans on foreign policy:

In a roundtable meeting with reporters before appearing onstage, Jindal came down on basically every side possible in Republican foreign policy.

That’s nothing new for Jindal. When he has previously tried saying something on the subject, he has made all the predictable noises about American exceptionalism and “leadership.” He even endorsed the silly and dangerous idea of a League of Democracies in his book.

El Oh El

Can't wait to see him on the debate stage with the likes of Rand Paul and Scott Walker, two guys who haven't spent the last 4 years or more hiding under their desk every time someone wanted to challenge them or just ask them a question.

Guy is such a pathetic loser. I hope he actually shows up at the primaries so he can get embarrassed in front of the entire country.

So in addition to supporting the current unnecessary war, Jindal is in favor of regime change in Syria that would produce even more instability and violence. He also said that “every option needs to be on the table to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power,” which lines him up with most other would-be 2016 candidates in their willingness to back an attack on Iran. While he claims to reject the idea that the U.S. should be the “world’s policeman,” it is difficult to find any crises where he thinks the U.S. shouldn’t be actively involved.

I remember when he ran in 07. We had a gathering for him and he stood on my friend's porch and started talking. He talked so fast and it was just talking point after talking point and many sounded contradictory to me. Nobody could really tell you what he said. That and his brand new roper boots he wore that day to our little rural cookout was the beginning of my skepticism.

He is so phony. They guy is 120 lbs of pure political ambition. He has no real political philosophy he is committed too. To him being a conservative is the road to political success. If he thought being a liberal or a democrat would be better for his political career he would adopt that philosophy.

The biggest tragedy for Louisiana under Jindal is his waste of political capital. He had more than anyone since EWE's early terms. Had he taken things like vouchers and tax reforms very seriously and campaigned around the state educating people on the benefits of those things we could have changed the state for the better.

Is he really as stupid as the National media makes him out to be? They make him look as an embarrassment to to the state.

I don't think he's dumb by any stretch. I just think he has very little real conviction. His convictions are whatever they need to be to progress his political career.
