Is 'baby it's cold outside' the rapey-ist holiday song ever?

Dude won't take no for an answer. Very creepy.

quote:

The neighbors might think - Baby, it's bad out there
Say, what's in this drink? - No cabs to be had out there
I wish I knew how - Your eyes are like starlight now
To break this spell - I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell

I ought to say no, no, no - Mind if I move in closer?
At least I'm gonna say that I tried - What's the sense in hurting my pride?
I really can't stay - Baby don't hold out
Ah, but it's cold outside

You gone get raped

It's insane how rapey that whole song is if you really listen to it.

That is what Trillhog plays for his victims.

The only reason it sounds a little rapey is because she asked what's in her drink.

She just wanted to know what she was drinking. Not that big of a deal.

She wants to say yes, but wants an excuse to use later.

She might claim rape the next day and blame it on a lot of things, but she wants it just as much as he does.

She sounds like a whore.

this song basically sums all women up: they want the D, but want to play coy so they don't look like a slut. I get it.

You were going well there, until...

NSFW for the puritanical, maybe three instances of profanity throughout

My friends and I just had this conversation. Very rapey. Still like the song though.

If the song is about his girlfriend that he regularly has sex with is it still "rapey"?

I've always thought this like, dude, let her go or use the chlorophorm! No need to string it out and make it an ordeal.

My wife and I have joked about this song forever. She had never noticed how rapey it was until I pointed it out.

Just noticed the other day that Bruce Springsteen's version of the song Fire gets rapey

quote:

I'm driving in my car, I turn on the radio
I'm pulling you close, you just say no
You say you don't like it, but girl I know you're a liar

It's one of the rapiest popular songs, period. However, THE rapiest has to be "Vehicle" by Ides of March.

quote:

I'm the friendly stranger in the black sedan
Won't you hop inside my car.
I got pictures, got candy, I'm a lovable man
And I can take you to the nearest star

I was just about to post that! One of my favorites though.

Apparently, I enjoy rape anthems.
