I'm a southern,white male, mid-40s.
I had a black teacher as early as the 2nd grade (my favorite, ever, BTW), black teachers in the 3rd, and from the 5th grade on. I had black school administrators from the 8th grade on, and of course at the University level. I had black drill sergeants, black first sergeants and, since I've been commissioned had black superior officers, at least somewhere near in my chain of command, for 20 out of 24 years, including, in one case, a black female general officer.
So I reject all of this posturing nonsense. Blacks who have chosen to assimilate into American society and culture, are already successful and off the reservation. Those who continue to act like Jim Crow was yesterday, reconstruction last week and slavery last month deserve whatever ridicule, scorn and bemusement they draw from rational people, black, white, yellow, brown, plaid, what have you...

i guess maybe we're all biased and do not apply to this piece b/c we're all from the south and grew up actually living around black people
i guess i could see the kids in those schools rarely interacting with one
but black people really think we congregate to coordinate to keep them down or something. they're completely ignorant to our intraracial judgments. this website, esp teh OT, is calleld racist all the time. well that takes some perception bias, b/c the OT shits on white people pretty often
