I get the power struggle aspect of this whole thing but given how good jim has been, why not keep him and get rid of Baalke?

It's a fair thought, but we don't know the situation.

Maybe he's such an ahole that literally no one wants him there.

I mean team sorta sucked before Harbaugh was there, and the GM was there since 2005

Yeah and between injuries, suspensions, how much Kaep has regressed, and all this speculation hanging over everything, I think Harbaugh has done a really good job to keep the team as good as it's been. Getting rid of him is just insane I don't care how much of a dick he is.

No, Baalke was named the GM the same year he hired Harbaugh.

3 full seasons, 3 NFC Championship games, 1 Super Bowl.

It's unprecedented IMO although they haven't won it all.

I know Harbaugh has a reputation of being a huge dick, but the 49ers have a reputation of being completely dysfunctional since the Debartolo power struggle.

I'll take Jay Glazer's speculation over yours.

Don't you mean, 'fire the owners'? Balke (sp) isn't the problem

Whoever made the push to let Alex Smith go to keep Kaepernick should be let go as well.

Baalke is one of the best GMs in the NFL. The 49ers are overflowing with talent.
