Now ask yourself after 10 years as Miles as HC, how many QB's has Miles brought to the level of Mett who was signed, trained and developed at other schools.

The answer is ZERO, there are NONE

Miles had nothing to do with Mett or Jamarcus or Flynn. QBs he has his hands on completely suck; see JJ, Jarret Lee, Andrew Hatch, AJ, etc..... "But, but I remember Curley Hallman.....Let's be sure we are average so we are never pitiful." Loser mentality

Miles has had 7 seasons at LSU with quarterbacks he recruited, 2008-2014. During those 7 years, LSU only experienced one season where a QB played well, and that wad Mett in 2013.

1 out of 7, and we still haven't seen the development of a QB that Miles recruited out of high school.

The inability to suvcessfully recruit and develop successful QB's at LSU has been Les Miles' Achilles Heel.

So the quarterbacks we had 2005-2007, including Flynn, who spent more time under Miles than any other coach, needed no developing or coaching at all? How do you account for the fact our passing numbers were better in 2005 than in 2004 and continued to improve thereafter? The QBs improved without any coaching at all?

I love how some of you idiots think that once a kid is recruited he is fully developed and will never need any coaching thereafter. The coach that recruited him gets all the credit, unless, of course, he tanks.

I don't think Michigan has ever offered Miles or ever will. Which speaks volumes about how Miles is viewed outside of Baton Rouge.

What would it take for us to be rid of him? One losing season? Two or three 8-5 type seasons?

Hey, like Miles or not that's your call to make, but you are just being naïve and silly by not noting the improvement, development of Mett from his 1st yr. at LSU to his 3rd.

2012 for Mett:
2609 58.8 7.41 12 7 128.3

2013 FOR Mett;
3082 64.9 10.41 22 8 171.4

You gave opinion, but the above are facts.

yes I think you are

"since taking over the LSU program, Les Miles has not recruited and developed a single high school quarterback into an above average SEC player at the position. In fact, Miles’ record of quarterback recruiting and development has been quite possibly the worst in the SEC over the time period he’s been on the job in Baton Rouge."

Miles and 10 yrs of QB's

I wonder if another requirement for the new Michigan coach is the ability to manage the clock as well.
Now that's just unfair.

Kiffin will NEVER get another top-notch head coaching gig. You can carve that in stone.

Miles is Michigan 2nd choice. The job is Jim Harbough's to lose. If JH say no, it will be offered to Miles and he will accept it.

I wish we had 2011 Jarrett Lee back..

104/167 62.3%
1306 yards passing, 14 TD/3 INT

Compared to Jennings..
104/213 48.8%
1460 yards passing, 10 TD/7 INT

So Jamarcus Russell and Matt Flynn don't count eventhough they actually played the majority of their actual college snaps under Miles as a head coach.

Then Mettenberger doesn't count because he originally signed with another SEC team he never played for.

Perilloux was also legit on the field QB talent.

Y'all people are ridiculous.

I think the key here is Jimbo Fisher. JR played all of his snaps under Jimbo Fisher, and Matt Flynn Played 4/5 years under Jimbo.

Obviously Jimbo Fisher has continued to develop QB's after he left LSU while LSU hasn't developed a high school recruit once in Les Miles tenure.

In 2007 Miles said if offered Michigan Job, he will accept it. Michigan's President said she can not sign the offer before they meet face to face. Miles said he had SEC Champ game to play. They can meet after the game. Then the news leaked (espn kirk herbstreit), Miles tried to contact AD Martin, Martin was sailing in the ocean in Florida and did not pick up the phone.

So technically you can say Miles never offered. But it is really very close to be offered. The AD oral offered just need the President to meet Miles and approve it.

2011, the second time, Dave Brandon, the control freak, went to Miles' house and insulated Miles. He told Miles he can not offer the job to Miles because blah blah...

So the second time, Miles was never considered.

Dave Brandon, the control freak, is very smart. He hired pet dog Hoke and hired Greg Mandision from Ravens thinking the defense side should be good. He never thought Greg Mandision's defense is not reliable. The setup was there just not work out as planned.

He also was very arrogant when dealing with Jim Harbough.

Miles and JH will not come to work with Dave Brandon.
So Dave Brandon is the first one fired. Paved the way for JH and Miles.

Dave Brandon also replaced the old Michigan people with his own people in the Atheletic Department. So more firings are expected in Michigan atheletic department. They are going to clean the house. Those Pizza Marketing people will be let go.

We are placing too much weight on social media message boards and other outlets that fans use to express their views.

Making a decision about who to hire as head coach should be based on things such as the coach's record, how well he fits that particular program at this time and can he bring outstanding assistant coaches into the program with him to turn it around.

Jimbo Fisher had something to do with that.
