Not sure if this makes sense.
My dad was giving two disc with oldies on it. It played in his buddies car(2014 BMW) but wont play in his(2011 Avalon). I believe it is a DVD disc. Is there a way to convert the DVD to CD so he can listen to it.
Thanks for any help.

Could be a cdr with mp3s and the other car doesn't support data CDs.

Just pulled it up on my computer and it shows mp3 files. Can I do anything to convert to another format?

Should be able to burn them as a music disc in Media Player.

You can very easily, burn a music CD the same as the ones you can buy.
The catch is that it will have to be completely uncompressed and therefore store a lot less music. Instead of the 150 or so songs, you will be down to 15-20.

just copy the mp3s from the dvd (drag and drop) to your computer, then create a data disc and put the mp3s on a cd...if the avalon can read an mp3s, it should work...the reason the dvd didnt work on the avalon is that the avalon cant read the DVD bc it's not a dvd player...it would be like putting a bluray disc into a dvd player, the player doesnt know what to do with it

Thanks for all the help. I'll do the drag and drop and see what happens. I guess he'll have a bunch of CD's because its 100's of songs.

you should be able to get a few hundred mp3s (depending on file size/quality) on one CD
