He makes a lot of decisions that are tough for the fanbase to swallow, including myself. I hated the man since he got here until 1/9. But I have the upmost respect for him for enduring the hatred of the fanbase. He doesn't put out 11-1 teams every year, but he is always in the mix. I think we have a good thing going for us moving forward next year and for the following three years. I hope I'm right and I'm prepared to receive flack, GO!

Michigan fired Brady Hoke today so all the crazies are predicting/hoping Les leaves.

The dude served hot cocoa on the sidelines.

His mindset has got to get tougher

We haven't seriously contended for the SEC West since 2011. He's paid a great deal of money not only to content for championships but to win them. I'm not in favor of firing him yet, but if he chooses to leave on his own, by no means should LSU offer him a raise or another contract extension to keep him. He's not worth it.

Agreed. If Miles were to leave, surely Chavis (on his last contract year) as well Cam Cameron is gone. Raymond could get head hunted for a DC position at another school. Frank obviously is looking for the right HC job but he wouldn't get it here at LSU.

It would actually be terrible if he were to leave. And we only have 15 commits, think about that shape up.

I always joke about CLM getting fired, but if it happened or he went for another job such as Michigan, that could be really damaging

how is he always in the mix when we finished 5th in the west this year? you can't be in the mix if you are 5th in your division.

We finished behind:
Bama: they are shooting for 4/6 national titles
State: best season ever
Auburn: returned almost everyone post national championship run
Ole Miss: best team in past 50 years

LSU played 17 true freshmen after losing a record breaking 2013 offensive performance and they were still in the hunt for an sec title.

I know there are people here who actually want him to leave, but he's not going anywhere. Buyout is very high at the moment.

It's not easy for a new coach to waltz in and win a championship. Saban lost to ULM his first year at UA. We're better off with him next year to see if this talent he recruited matured into a force.

Guess you forgot how close we were to beating Bama. I'd call that in the mix, and the Arky game could have very well been much different had we beaten Bama. Ball didn't bounce our way (in fact, it bounced out of bounds [sarcasm]).

I am ready for a change. Miles is above average but not great. I think this is one of those situations where both parties could be in a better spot if he goes to Michigan.

a record breaking 2013 offensive performance

I like how some strained juxtaposition of individual stats translates for some into a "record breaking offensive performance". It proves nothing to have two thousand yard receivers if other teams have three 900 yard receivers, for example.
