Is he looking to get back into college? He clearly was a very good college coach, but his style of coaching didn't transfer to the pros.

Michigan for him? Florida?

I want Les to stay at LSU so Michigan's job is of direct interest to me.

Or are you saying you're concerned you're getting Schiano?

Very good seems like a bit of a stretch for a guy who finished with a winning conference record only 4 times in 11 years in the Big East (3-24 Big East record his first 4 years, 28-48 overall Big East record).

Once he turned that program around and got his players it was solid.

In fact, the 3 previous coaches to Schiano had 3 winning seasons combined in 16 years. Schiano inherited a program that was coming off of 1-10 and 3-8 records.

He had winning records in 6 of his last 7 years at Rutgers including the only 5 bowl wins in the programs history.

(Brought them to first bowl in nearly 30 years as well)

In Joeyb's world, the only way you can be a good coach is if you go undefeated regardless of the school or situation. Someone could have gone 2-5 at SMU in 1988 and Joeyb would give it a "meh, it wasn't really that impressive of a coaching job."

even if you take out his first 4 seasons, he still had a .500 conference record in the big east.

The guy seems to be too much of a hardass to me. You can do that when you're getting results ala saban, but that shite wears thin when you're going 7-5 at a football factory

You must like finishing in the bottom half of the west.

Amazing what happens when Miami, Virginia Tech, & BC leave the Big East and get replaced with Conference USA teams Louisville, Cincy, & USF. Or are we going to ignore that his first winning season came after that split happened in 2005?

And followed that up with 2-9, 1-11, 5-7, & 4-7 seasons.

Impressive straw man argument.

Yeah, his 10th season at Rutgers was super impressive. Losses to 4-8 Cincy, 7-6 Louisville, 4-8 Tulane, 8-5 UNC (that was under NCAA investigations). OT to beat Army, 5 point win against Sun Belt FIU, & 3 point win against UConn. Exactly what a "very good coach" would do in his 10th season at a program.

There was a good profile about him a month or so ago.

I think he'll end up at Michigan after Miles and Harbaugh turn them down. Or maybe Nebraska.
