I needed something that would work easily with multiple monitors. I actually don't know much about this as I've had a Mac for years but free return through January and no restocking fee on newegg so I figured i would pull the trigger on cyber Monday.

Anyone have this? I searched the gamer computers because it's fast and I had to be able to support multiple monitors, which is what I really need it to do. hopefully three when at home and I have a portable monitor when I travel.

I know shitty battery life and somewhat small hard drive, but I have another one with remote access I save almost all of my stuff on.

So will this do what I need it to do - pretty much just really fast and multiple monitors.

And is there something else you would recommend if I end up returning this one?

Sounds like you don't want it for gaming, but I just wanted to add that you won't be gaming at 4k with that GPU anyway.

I saw that laptop a while back and got the feeling that Lenovo just commissioned a company to make the lowest production cost 4k panel possible, just to have a 4k laptop.

I normally don't care about newegg reviews, but there were some common complaints about the screen, such as excessive backlight bleeding and discoloration. The refresh rate is also apparently locked at 48hz.

Plus there's the whole issue of 4k resolution on a 15" screen, and certain applications not scaling. One reviewer trying to use an Adobe program described it as "like trying to read text off an ant's back." I imagine it's nice and crisp text, but you'd have to get right up on it to be able to read.

Let me know how your panel looks when you get it.
