The Generals have given a couple of mid level division I schools a very good run for the money on a couple of preseason scrimmages, including coming within a couple of points of Lamar.

It tells you something about the success of a first year start up NAIA program as well as how sorry the Division III program across the river in Pineville is. Coach at LC should have been fired a long time ago, but if there was ever a place happy with mediocrity it's LC.

That said, it's always heartening when any branch of the LSU system is having success. LSUA is relying equally on freshmen and transfers. Front court is 6'7", 6'9", and 6'7". The two forwards are actually twin brothers. The Generals are 2-0 on the season. Their home gym is nicknamed "the Fort".

My cousin plays in the same conference as Louisiana College and while LC has no tall players they have some athletes. Last year #35 was a pretty damn good player who could be playing at a bigger school.

Dude, LC's campus is crumbling... quite literally. Not sure the success of the basketball program is really the biggest concern.

Yes, it is crumbling, and it will continue crumbling.

Keeping what is a losing coach there for all those years makes it quite obvious that the basketball is not a big concern. I am really wondering why they have an athletic program at all. The only thing worth a shite is the Girls' Softball team.

The more LSUA grows, the less relevant LC will be as an institution. It is a Baptist school that is not that involved with the community nor the community with it. It will wind up being little more than a bible college.

I drive by LSUA and it looks like they have dorms there now. Does LSUA actually have on-campus students?

They have like a 5 buildings that are three stories similar to town homes/apartments with a admins building, laundry, games and a nice size outdoor pool. Called "The Oaks" houses 256 students. Not to mention the multimillion dollar new academic building on campus and renovated science building. LSUA is quickly rising as the top college for CenLa.

They are even pulling kids that would traditionally go to Northwestern St.

Yeah they're a mess, and at risk of losing their accreditation. They ran off Aguillard but the new regime is same old/same old. LC is a political football for the LBC, which is a shame, because it used to be a decent little private college.

Are they actually, like, a real college?

IYAM that's what some of the main players in this situation want. Easier to control a bible college. A real university has professors that like their academic freedom, accrediting agencies looking over your shoulder, etc.
