what up with these jerseys? (charles alexander: 1970's)

Might have to do with it being a tear-away. Not sure.

Back then, RB's wore tear away jerseys. They would have a big stack of those paper thin jerseys for RB's on sidelines, as they would get shredded almost every series. No stripes. But other players had the striped jersey, you can see in the background.

I had a buddy that knew the trainers, and they would give him the scraps after the game. He would sew them together and sell them to his buddies. I had a Charles Alexander and Terry Robiskie once.

More importantly they appear to be playing John Curtis. Talk about a week non conference schedule.

Oregon-- beatdown. Both Oregon and Oregon State were rent-a-wins in those days, before they discovered Watts in L.A.
