I am looking at SGY again, have made some money off them in the past. I used to work for them and know that the drop in oil price is gonna hurt them for a while, but they have some big new wells coming online currently that are gonna boost them quicker than some others.

How far do yall think oil prices will slide and how long will a rebound take?

I bought EXXI @ $7.30 about 5 weeks ago and thought that was a good buy. It is $3.31 today and I expect it to go lower. I would get in now or in the next week with other energy stocks.
I say that now and watch oil go to $60.00. This is really challenging. Good luck.

yeah, i know it will rebound with EXXI and SGY, they arent in danger of being buried in debt and being bought out.

its just when do you pull the trigger

i think it will be after the first of the year til the slide in oil stops

I always wait until the price stops going down and then I buy.

A very long time. I think energy stocks will soon see a bounce, and I plan to short the bounce.

I've thought about getting in EXXI, but I had a horrible experience with ATP that's spoiled my expectations on low priced oil stocks. I literally bought in at $2/share 2 weeks before they went belly up. I didn't lose a whole lot relative to my account, but I still don't want to do that again if I can help it.
What do yall think about WTI? I've been buying in and out of those guys for 4-5years and have made a decent profit, and they also pay a nice dividend.
