I'm so iffy about this show. Saul was a great character within the confines of BB, but I'm not sure about his own show.

Was fun to watch. Nostalgic feeling just to see mike and Saul again. I hope the story will be worth it and not just hope for random cameos.

I think it will make a fine show as long as you aren't expecting the constant escalation of Breaking Bad. Better Call Saul seems like it'd lend itself more to the procedural dramedy. Case of the week with funny quirky characters.

That was all that was good with the preview.
My interest is waning. Is this show going to be about Saul being a buffoon? I mean, when they announced this, I thought that his character was way too thin to form a show around.
I also think I'm disappointed because Vince to me is a modern day genius when it comes to producing a television show. He could have created a new universe with new characters but instead took the easy contract with side guys from Breaking Bad.

Top directors/creators often talk about having to be a sell out on every other project to get the studios backing what you really want to do.

Every so often they have to do this to be on the studio's good side. Kinda like the music industry, you have to put out some of their agenda to get yours out later.

That's not the case for Vince Gilligan right now. He could say that he wanted to make a show about anything and every network would line up for it just because of the name attached.

Yeah, that's my thoughts on it as well. A lot of people are getting excited because of how great Breaking Bad was, but I think many will find out this show isn't Breaking Bad.
Still will watch and hope for the best.
