It's been posted.

It's also BS just as was the report of Saints interested in Rice.

Payton shot it down.

Brees went for 5 TDs and 0 INTs today on the road vs a 7-4 team.

Obviously Brees' great game today makes this kind of a stupid article but at what point should the team start looking towards the future? I don't think it's out of the question for us to draft a project QB in rds 3-5.

Honesntly iw oddly rather drew retires, and we just suck for a year, and then get our pick than try and dig for the next Aaron Rodgers late.

Idk if we find a great QB who slips why not take him in the 4th.

The year Drew Brees retires, possibly the year before.

With the new NFL rules, we want the QB on his rookie contract.

Agreed. QB pick can wait another 2-3 years. I don't really like this QB class anyways besides Mariota and Goldson. Maybe put Hundley in there as well.

Considering the fact we're probably going to extend Brees for 3 more years this offseason...?

Lets wait another 3.

This is the year we need to draft Drew's replacement. Play behind Drew next season and start the following.

so what you're saying is...leave Brees' cap hit at 26.4 next year, cut: hawthorne, evans, grubbs, colston, morstead, and bunkley.

Then select a QB, let drew die on the field in 2015, cut him in 2016 and rebuild?

Seriously, we should let our 1st ballot HOF QB walk, take the cap hit, when he'll just be 36 years old.

He'd still be younger than Brady and Manning are now with a better deep ball
