It should have been played 2 years ago.

Agreed.
Even though I think Curtis would have ate their lunch and shite on their chest...

Against the undefeated last 5A real state champions... I doubt it....

Damian Williams was a man playing against boys that year...

That 2012 Rummel team could hang with them for sure.

2012 Curtis was unreal. The defense had 7 of 14 shutouts. And in the 7 games that the other team did score, they only allowed a TD or less. Duke Riley and Kenny Young were tackling machines on D and Dupre was basically uncoverable.

Don't forget the spanking that they gave Plant Florida on national television 33-3.

I am ready for the Curtis/Rummel Championship. Let's see if they get past Jesuit first. It's hard to beat a team twice in one year, especially when you are so close to making it to a championship game. I would not be surprised if Jesuit pulls the upset.

I would be... Rummel is too close to their golden opportunity to get Curtis on the same field to lose focus now

btw that 2012 Curtis team played 2A competition so we don't really know how good they were

C'mon Lester, we all know what would have happened in 2012. You could argue they shouldn't have been national champs that year and I could understand, but there wasn't anyone in the state within 2 TDs of Curtis that year. And to show you I don't let bias ruin my objectivity, I don't think Curtis should be favored against Rummel this year and frankly still not sure they could put together the 4 Qs they need to beat them. Too many errors.

I don't pretend to know anything about it, but I've been hearing of those two programs for years. Must be a highly anticipated matchup, if it were to happen.

Rummel was just as good, with just as many D-1 guys. Their defense was probably better, actually. Ask Barbe, or Leonard Fournette.

i wonder if Jay Roth's hate for Curtis is such that he threw a state semifinal to not play them in the Dome
