USA today projects LSU to the Independence Bowl going into today's games.

If Ole Miss losses today (highly likely), I think we sneak into Jacksonville; if that that doesn't happen then it will be a money/political decision and who knows what that will mean.

No matter what bowl it is, the usual suspects will load up the Rant with threads bitching about it.

The I bowl is the last SEC pick right? Tenth. No way LSU drops that far.

I was thinking Arky or USCe for the I bowl.
What's the thinking behind all the local teams going to bowls? Don't they usually prefer teams whose fans have to travel? Or is tickets sold more desirable? I've heard both in recent years.

There is ZERO chance LSU is going to Independence Bowl.
LSU will be in the SEC's "Pool of Six" (possibilities listed below in my order of likelihood):
1. Gator
2. Texas
3. MusicCity
4. Liberty
5. Belk
6. Outback
Two of Arky/USC//Florida/Tenn will be going to the two crap games that select after the "Pool of 6"(Independence/Birmingham)
My projection is LSU vs Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl. Texas Bowl vs Texas is also a good bet.

I think it's the No Way Am I Paying $250 To See That Horrible Offense Bowl. Went to Tampa last year against Iowa and the experience was less than fun.
