Sounds like the craziest game ever.

Where is North Webster? I follow HS ball, especially 3A, and do not recall ever hearing much about you guys.

I think they used to be Springhill.

North Webster (formerly Springhill) 51, Patterson 47. Devin White with 487 yards. NW scored 4 touchdowns in the last 9 minutes for the win. White has nearly 900 yards in the 3 playoff games so far. BEAST MODE!!

North Webster is what used to be the Springhilll Lumberjacks.
Louisiana's only Heisman winner played in Springhill.
Almost 500 yards by Devin White.

Consolidation. Put Springhill together with a Class C Cotton Valley, Class B Shongaloo, and Class 1A Sarepta 3 years ago. Athletics finally starting to come around with all the different athletes coming together.

John David Crow was from Springhill. Also John Stephens who was NFL rookie of the year in the late 80's

Not really. Springhill went south after being a small school power for decades because there was a big falling out with the former coach and the black kids. They did not want to play for him and didn't. The schools that folded into Springhill didn't even have football teams other than Sarepta which was an all white punching bag.

You're not telling me anything I don't know. And I'll give you that Sarepta wasn't any good. But the other towns had some very good athletes just not enough willing to play and put together a team. Or not the finances to get or keep it going.
North Webster was close to making a run last year in football before being eliminated by Amite (who they play next week) and had a solid baseball team. Look for the basketball and baseball teams to make some noise this year as well.

Go Lumberjacks; lots of pulp wood haulers up in that area.

I work in the Springhill-Cullen metro area. I have no ties though. It is pretty cool to see a community so full of pride for this team.

They already made noise in basketball, beating a really good Union Parish school (Farmerville and a few other schools merged) and then #1 John Curtis in the 2nd round.
They are very good.
