Why are toilet seats so hard and cold?

I would like to think technological advances would have integrated into the working man's library by now.

Japan has heated seats in most places. And every other toilet feature you can think of.
It's their public restrooms that kinda make you look twice. At one of the parks I went to, all they had was a hole in the ground

Hate the "padded" ones too.

Next time I get a toilet seat, I'm getting one of those huge commercial-type ones that is opened ended at the front.

Get elongated toilets never round.
I like padded seats too, but guest bathroom has cheap plastic seats.
