Speedy don't care, he's getting high tonight. Coach Sumlin said no bed check.

Noil is pretty great, I can't really muster up much hatred toward him. The fact LA pumps out too much talent for us to retain each year is not a bad thing, IMO. On the whole, Miles has been able to land the majority of studs in a state that produces a frickton of NFL athletes per capita. That's good enough for me, and I enjoy seeing the other ones shine as well, so long as it doesn't come at the expense of LSU wins.

Speedy seems light years ahead of Dupre and Quinn. I'm not talking about production, I'm talking about understanding of the position: route running, awareness, scramble play, and physicality. He would be starting for LSU as well.

We do get what we want for the most part. Can't get them all.

He also fumbled that led to a fg.

how do you compare that with our QB play? I don't blame speedy for going to A&M.? If I were a reciever, no fricking way I go to LSU.....and I know we have Odell and Ruben and a few others in the NFL.......but we had Mett the last 2 years which in spite of LSU coaching he was able to persevere.

I'm guessing you haven't seen him much. I actually see Quinn ahead of Dupre in terms of the overall understanding of the position as well. Dupre can go get it when he is able to put his body in position and he'll be special, but he looks the most overwhelmed right now. I think it's mostly physical. The reason I did not include production in the argument was because it's impossible to compare the 2 systems. I'm talking about knowing where the ball is, competing for the ball, understanding when a play breaks down, and fighting for position. Speedy does all of those things better. If LSU is the only game you've seen him, you don't have a good understanding of this because LSU is the best and most physical secondary in the SEC. There are actually few SEC wrs that have done anything against LSU this year.

Guy was light years better from 12-13. Seems like coaching helped that.

He still fumbled the ball. Everything else remains same, they only need a fg to tie the game.

That doesn't really matter in the assessment of WR play. And I heard you the first time and acknowledged it.

T White won that matchup tonight easily without any help, minus the TD catch which was good coverage but a nice play by Speedy.

White certainly won that matchup and every matchup he's had. That catch was the real deal and White was in good position too.
