Even more satisfying are LF's season numbers in stark contrast to all the shite gumps, hamsters, and black bears have been spewing about him here and on tSECr.

i wonder if the negatigers can somehow downplay the incredible play by Fournette....Maybe they will just say that would not have happened against Saban?

The kid he trucked is Mr. Defense for aTm.
2nd team all state, 1st team all district-High school.
Played in all 13 games as a frosh. 28 tackles, 2 sacks
58 tackles as a soph.
Team high 44 solos and team second 90 tackles as a jr.
82 tackles this year, so far
aTm webpage calls him a "Big time run stopper"

Howard Matthews was their leading tackler tonight with 15 tackles Did not have 16, unfortunately
Give him credit, he tried to man up.

hile it was awesome to see him truck the guy. It was a wide open field, juke him out of his shoes would have been better IMHO.
Watching the play live I felt the same way when I saw him go low. However, when he buried that guy it became a thing of beauty.

Glad he got the number one play of the day but I think the hole in one that spun back from off the green was a better overall play for the day. Let the hate start I've got wide shoulders.
He got the TD and sent a message at the same time. Does it matter if he juked him or ran him over as long as he scored, no not really. Play of day easily.

Fantastic blocking! Check Neighbors block - took out end and influenced backer.

I agree this was a great play.
But a serious question: with LF's supposed elite speed, why did he get caught on his long run? If he truly had 4.3 - ish speed, he would've taken that one to the house. Look, he's got decent speed for a guy that big, but I just haven't seen the elite speed everyone has been touting.

He did hurt his knee a few plays before that so maybe that's why

It's a 4.4-4.5 guy chasing with an angle. Other teams have fast players too you do know that right? ... Also when you are running at a sharper angle on an outdoor field you are running down a slope. If this were in a dome with a flat field he scores. The only guy who scores right there is Trindon Holliday..

When he gets a full head of steam, you better get out of the way.

Yes, I'm well aware of the "crown" on outdoor fields, but I NEVER thought I'd see it used as an excuse for a player's lack of speed.
You definitely get points for originality, but zero for substance.

The point is have you ever thought the other player may be fast too? And with an angle may have an advantage? It's f'ing common sense. Lack of speed?? Lol

Loved the commentators on that run. They hyped up that TD run. "put him on the hood! LF7 made a business decision to run him over."
