What? You don't like watching a bunch of outdated floats carrying people who you don't care about? I don't see why you would not watch it.. The only other thing on today is boring NFL

Yea it's kind of boring on TV but it's tradition. I'd totally go check it out if I happened to be in NYC on Thanksgiving.

For me it's watching a bunch of people I don't know that the media says I should know lip synch.

Back when we didn't have cable as a kid, it was the WORST. Wasn't shite on tv anyway, but to have that pre-empt the little bit that was on was just torture. The parade always seemed like something your parents tried to pump up to make you believe was interesting to watch but never was.

It happens before the game and you're obligated to let the wife watch it before the football game.

It's kinda like watching the chick flick with your GF before the blow job.

I don't think the network cares why; they just said an estimated 50 million Americans watched the Macy's parade, and that number is all that matters to them.

TV is worse. It's a bunch of bullshite NBC heads talking about shows on their network with only a few shots of the parade anyways.

I think I finally got my wife to see how incredibly stupid that tradition was.

I like it. It's not meant to give you the thrill of your life. It's meant to be that consistent, traditional sound as you cook and as family arrives.
