Do I have a legitimate gripe or not?

There's 4 teams tied for 3rd in the league(12 team league), and I'm one of them. 6 teams make the playoffs and I'm the 5th seed with the tiebreaker. I'm playing the leading scorer this week in a must win week (if I win I'm in, if I lose I don't control my own destiny). I've been streaming defenses for a good part of the season, so I put in a claim for the Giants defense since they are playing Jacksonville. The second to last place team, who is mathematically eliminated and the commissioner's girlfriend, also put a claim for them. She now has 2 defenses on her roster. On the waiver report, the commissioner put in 2 claims for different defenses. To me, this looks suspicious. Do I have a legitimate gripe?

What does it matter if this guy and his girl are trying to pickup defenses? What motivation do they have to keep you out of the playoffs?
