When you introduce yourself, do you say your last name?

I've noticed a lot of people these days introduce themselves with only their first name. I find it extremely annoying, particularly in more formal settings. I always say my first and last names when meeting someone for the first time.

Depends on who it is for me. If its a business thing, ill say first and last, but just about any other situation, it'd just be my first.

Most of the time, first name only at work since I am the only one with that name company wide. I guess I should use both names when away at a conference or meeting .
