While not considered a luxury vehicle, I just bought a new Mazda 6 after test driving a BMW 328i, an Audi A3 and A4 and a Volkswagen CC.
There was nothing about those "luxury" cars that made me feel like they were worth the premium price with exception of maybe more power.

Just dropping in to laugh at the token "Lexus luxury car" drivers/supporters.
ETA: Oh, damn! OP mentioned Lexus in the OP. That's a clown question, bro.

Very cool looking cars. I keep my cars too long to own an Audi, after 5 years a bell goes off and you have non-stop electrical, gremlin like problems. My boss auctioned off his car it had so many problems he could not solve, it was ALWAYS in the shop. Now he drives an Escalade.

Typically audi will be more stylish and fun to drive. Lexus will be more comfortable, quieter and more reliable. Infinity will be a middle ground between the two.
This. Take it from someone who bought an Infiniti yesterday.
agreed. Audi makes absolutely beautiful cars(S5, Q7, etc) that IMO look better than comparable mercedes or bmw's. For reliability and lower cost of ownership, lexus and infiniti are better values. If you are leasing, it doesn't really matter.
