looks like they rolled up not expecting him to reach for the gun
whole thing is screwed up. I think the kid approached them to show them it wasn't real.
wish he would have just put his hands up

12 year old kids don't always know what to do which is why adults need to help protect them.

doesn't tell the whole story without the audio. they told him to put his hands up three times. he reached for his gun...
So you're saying the newspaper is wrong? That it wasn't just 2 seconds?
Also, according to police they told the kid to both put up his hands and drop the weapon. Which one should he have done to avoid being shot?

Nice, a 12 yr old playing with a toy gun in an empty park = thug.
Even the photo posted shows a passerby walk within 3 feet of the kid ,but doesn't run for his life because a 'thug' has a gun, doesn't cower in fear nor do they call 911. Its obvious most everyone sees a child playing with a gun in the park except this one guy who calls in claiming people are 'scared' of this kid.
Reminds me of the Ohio(?) Wal-Mart incident when 1 person calls in claiming a man is openly walking in the store pointing an assault type rifle at people.
Like this kid several people walk by the guy with the toy gun but don't run, feel threatened nor call 911.
If some nut is walking in a Wal-Mart or park with hundreds of pedestrians & brandishing an assault rifle dozens of 911 calls would probably go out.

Thanks. Most people like u think people like me are dumbfricks. Lmao. Happy thanksgiving. Today i am thankful that i choose not to be a thug pos, or support the actions of such.

I just watched the live video on CNN. The cops pulled up right next to the kid. Jumped out of their car and within 2 seconds shot and killed him. Sorry people. There are no excuses for this murder of a 12 year old. The kid didn't have time to explain and the officers didn't have time to do what they claimed. 2 seconds

So I take it you don't support the cop who shot the 12 year old?

I can't see an excuse for this. Pretty messed up and some type of punishment should
On an unrelated note, where were these kids parents and why did this kid have a BB gun with no toy indicator? Clearly is the kids fault but the parents screwed up too

They told him to put his hands up from what they said in the report. 3 times apparently. There's just no audio on the camera.
The kid also reached for the gun when the cop gets out of the car. What would you want him to do? Let the kid shoot him? They didn't know it wasn't a real gun

Indicator is completely irrelevant given the sequence of events. It;s just a convenient part of the CYA story concocted by the cops on scene.

The cops said that they told him to put his weapon down. How would he do that without getting it out of his waist?

Have we lost all sight of the serious fabrications and abuse of powers from our PD to the point where their word can't be questioned?
If anything, DUE TO THEIR ACTIONS, their word should be questioned

and I must add, anyone that calls this kid a thug for yielding a toy gun is a heartless and morally corrupt individual
I thought kids were off limits in most cases?

There are so many holes in this story. These cops need to be locked away forever.

I predict that a full and thorough investigation will be done by the police and they will find they acted according to training and were in reasonable fear for their lives and the shooting was justified.
Good shoot, fellas! You went home safely. The 12 year old, not so much. But yall did. Win for the police.

The cop appearing to be puking behind the squad car after he realized what he had done seems indicative of knowledge of guilt...or at least that he REALLY fricked up.

It's neat how cops now get to assume that everyone who may or may not have a gun has the ability to draw it and fire it accurately with such speed that the cops have to kill them just in case anytime a hand goes to a waist.
How about rolling up and taking cover behind your engine block while you determine whether this 12 year old is actually holding a real gun, is actively threatening anyone, and is capable of doing any harm? Nope, none of that. A cop could possibly be in danger, so it's time for a citizen to die.

It looks like that sack of shite jumped out of the cruiser and opened fire.
