I wouldn't even know what cornbread dressing is if it was on the plate. Seriously, in Vermilion Parish, there is no such thing as that. We always had rice and/or oyster dressing.

I was wondering the exact thing. I've traveled coast to coast, Europe, Central America, Middle East, and the Caribbean in my 44 years on the planet and I've never seen or heard of rice dressing.

You ever had Boudin? The inside is stuffed with something very similar to rice dressing.

Ohhhhhh... Now I've had dirty rice and loved it. But there was nothing about but that made me think it was similar to cornbread dressing.
