Just got the OK to hunt some land that I didnt know my FIL had that butts up next to a refuge. Its about 15 acres of hardwoods that he has 2 stands on but he hasnt hunted it in about 3 years. He showed it to me last weekend and gave me the green light to do whatever I wanted to it. I'm plan to put a couple feeders out w corn and pour rice bran. He said the coons are stupid around that area and will tear the corn up. Mainly will be bowhunting. Besides throwing out those feeders and a camera or 2, is there anything I can do to help draw some deer out of the refuge...TIA

If you plan on immediately hunting the property like this weekend. I would scout it out and find an established food source (acorns, fruit, ie.).
As far as luring deer out of the refuge, scout out existing trails and put your corn or rice bran near them.

My FIL's cousin has property that connect to it aswell. he has a couple shooting houses out and a mountain of rice bran poured out. I was thinking of setting up prob 100yds from that and catch them slipping to it. Found some hookings and just some beatin paths. I guess i just need to clean it up alittle bit and set up somewhere around it.

The deer don't know where the refuge ends..
Seriously, are the signs that deer travel thru the property? Scrapes, rubs, etc. Or are you trying just to bait them out and coax them into your area where they do not normally travel?

I hunt next to a refuge in Natchez. Make sure you have a good clear scope that captures good light when the sun goes down and it gets dark. Those deer know where the property lines are.

No, but they do know where the pressure is, so:

I prefer a bath in bleach, but to each his own.

that usually follows the burning sensation when I pee
Any recommendations on reasonably priced cameras I can setup. This is not an OB baller that has 57 yetis... around $100 a piece maybe
