She sounds emotionally unstable. Her father probably left her at a young age and she now has abandonment issues. She also might be bipolar.

We plan on it that's the thing...we both know we have a future together it's just that she doesn't want to do the distance thing for a while again

Let it go. If she really wants you, she'll come to you and she'll stay. Don't rush to find someone else, but don't close yourself off to the possibility. If she does come back, be stand offish. Agree, but don't let her think you're just waiting around for her.

Your only recourse now is to never speak to her again. If she contacts you, act like she never meant anything to you. She will believe her insecurities were right, that you never loved her. It will be a lie, but it will be for the best. Her heart and mind simply can't handle a relationship. You'll be doing her a favor in the long run.

I've been in a very similar situation. Once you guys separate for distance; you can only hope that you can become a dude that she will miss and want to be get back with you... you can't force it.
