Is Californication worth my time?

I never cared for it but admittedly it does have its moments. Like when Addison Timlin comes out of her laundry.

After you see the first season, just understand that every following one will be just about the same. It will get a few laughs and hot nude females but there isn't much of a story line. Easy way to pass the time though, each episode is 25-30 minutes.

It's funny, lots of hot women, and does a good job at satirically making fun of L.A. and Hollywood. Give it a shot.

Just finished the series and overall I enjoyed it. The first few seasons were really entertaining and it starts to get repetitive in the last few.

Californication is actually a pretty good show. I was a little skeptical at first because it looked like a poor man's Entourage. But after watching a few episodes I got hooked. Every episode is fairly entertaining but sometimes it does get a little sappy. There are a few things about the show that don't add up (Mia) but all that aside it is worth your time.
Like others have said, it isn't the greatest show of all time but it is pretty entertaining.

I watched season 1-4 pretty fast they were addicting but i'm on season 5 now and starting to lose interest. this season isn't pulling me in like the previous ones

It got old about there for me too. I thought the last season was a good. They brought in a twist character that really improved it. I could have gone for another season with the new dynamics created.

I enjoyed it a bunch. Don't take it too seriously and it's an entertaining watch.
The descriptions in the thread are spot on. It has funny moments, great nudes, and great satire of the Hollywood culture.
Even though it could be such a silly show, with silly characters, like Eddie Nero (Rob Lowe), I found some moments that were actually emotional. It's funny, it will go from a scene with the most obscure, ridiculous, comedy moment to a serious moment. At the end of the day, it is a love story (with lots of random boobs and jokes).
I did think the last season was the worst and I could not stand Levon.
