The only positive thing that can come from Ferguson

The only positive thing that can come from Ferguson is more police officers wearing video and audio recording devices. There will come a day where every officer wears one, hopefully it sooner rather than later. So many problems can be eliminated with these things.

The only positive I see is that there should be no mention of more gun control for law abiding citizens for the next 100 years. Police won't be there to help you when the shite hits the fan is what I took from it.

How much would that cost?

They never were.
However, I think all cops should have to wear cameras. It would make them nicer and stop some of the thuggish behavior that some cops are accused of and also protect them bullshite claims like this.

Somebody claimed back during the august riots that it woudl cost in the ballpark of a $1billion to have enough cameras for every LEO in the country. IDK if that covered the other equipment needed or if it was just the cost of the cameras.

Cameras will on,y be used to make cops look good..and evidence of misbehavior will be lost or other wise not available. Huge waste of resources.......

So you think there wasn't an IRS or Benghazi coverup, but you know that cops will perpetrate future coverups?

If you contract out so that the video is controlled by a third party company then you wouldn't have an IRS type problem.
Also the cops need the video more than the ppl. I have video taped my 2 traffic stops on my iphone so I had proof of any abuse. You know what I found out that if you tell the officer up front that you are videotaping him and ask if it is ok to continue and are respectful they let you. I also got off with a warning both times because I was respectful.

Not shite. Tops half a days salary. So long as they can afford military grade equipment, they can certainly afford a camera that could go on your iPhone.

Of course. A camera would really hurt T-shirt sales.

Judging from the reaction of Michael Brown's mother, Darren Wilson wearing a camera wouldn't have made one iota of difference.

This was part of Brown family statement before they wanted to burn everything down.

I'm sure they could sell off a few tanks and grenade launchers to offset the expense.
