Ok, so when is it appropriate to start accepted Brees criticism threads?

I've got killed for starting Brees criticism threads in the past.

And I really do like Brees.

I just get frustrated knowing that his massive contract his put a stranglehold on this entire team.

No end in sight. Sucks.

he has definitely lost a few steps, and SP needs to learn what real balance means.

Have never said anything even close to that.

Again, my issue is the contract and the results of the team since then.

If we pay someone that much money and this is the output, isn't that concerning?

If we wanted to keep Brees, this was the price.

There was no way we were getting rid of Drew Brees, so this was inevitable.

He will most likely re-structure.

He is still very good; the Saints as a team are not. Even in his prime years he was not good enough to compensate for poor interior protection and a bad defense - both of those things are serious issues this year.

The guy was basically underpaid for years, and we are paying far less productive players some pretty pricy deals as well.

The tl;dr of it all: There are far, far worse problems than Brees right now. Singling out the only guy who really seems to give us a chance on a weekly basis makes very little sense to me.
