Why not play in a PPR?

Why play in the cave man mentality of a standard league?

I try to convince my league to switch to ppr but we voted to add 100 yd bonuses and big play bonuses to compensate a bit

I'm happy with the standard league I play in - 100/300 yard bonuses, big play bonuses. Doesn't really change my analysis of players.

ETA: I don't get why everyone jerks off to PPR leagues.

I play in both. I usually do better in Standard. I don't know why. Probably because I play with lesser competition in those leagues.

Because you shouldn't be rewarded a full point for catching a 1 yard pass.

Makes a league a shite ton more fun, makes the draft more fun(able to take WR's earlier), makes the league more competitive.

There literally is not a con to PPR.

You shouldn't be rewarded a half point for catching a -5 yard screen pass.

if you are in a big league than yea ppr makes sense but imo a 10 team ppr is unnecessary

People don't like the idea of giving points for reception when yards and touchdowns are what really matter in real life.

Meh, I like both types. Playing in a PPR, and I think I'd like 0.5PPR better. PPR is too much.

Prime example is James Jones in Week 10. 8 catches for 20 yards, no TDs.

10 point fantasy day.

You shouldnt be rewarded 6 points for a 1 yard TD

You shouldnt be rewarded 6 points for throwing a 1 yard TD

You shouldnt be rewarded 6 points for catching a wide open TD

ppr is a good tool to even out a deep league, but people hate it because its more unpredictable

Boring, less scoring, RB's score more than receivers.

I just don't understand why people still play it.

It is an outdated and boring system in my mind.

There isn't really a con to standard either

It is all about preference. I don't see what PPR adds to fantasy football other than another point category. I like to limit the amount of fluke things that can happen and from experience, adding more categories and ways to get points increases the chance for weird things to happen.
