Regardless of who starts in 2015, LSU certainly needs depth.

They can't. They get the junior colleges to do it for them.

Kelly is a big strong kid, nice pocket presence, escapabilty, very quick release, decent arm strength, seems like an accurate passer, and he is certainly mobile, can run well. Not sure if he's ever been set under center though.

Shitty past, and attitude, yeah looks like it, but that is correctable with maturity.

Been watching his Juco highlights

LSU needs to be offering Daniel Fitzwater.

Chad Kelly >>>>>> Daniel Fitzwater.

To put it in perspective, Chad Kelly has led his team (11-0) to a total score of 611(PF)-74(PA). Wow. Chad's team actually plays Fitzwater's team and won 46-10.

ETA: LOL, looks like they've played twice, actually. The second time, Fitz's team lost 54-15.

"It depends on where there maturity is," Miles said. "If you have a JUCO guy who has run the show and understands the passing game and can really throw it and will understand what we ask of him, that’s a guy we would consider. Ideally, that guy would have to be here in the spring to fully comprehend what we would ask him to do at quarterback."

As if recruiting a JUCO QB is the same as recruiting a QB out of high school.

There's a reason a team looks at QBs from a junior college

So if there is Cam Newton or Mett available, we shouldn't go after him?

Stupid if true. Develop the damn guys you have, hence Harris, and let them play.

You're assuming Harris is going to be here next year. The fact that we are recruiting JUCO QB's might tend to indicate otherwise.

Go after Kelly, if anything it lights a fire under Harris's arse

It means we are trying to get depth and competition. They do it every year.

Hard to learn on the bench...the coaching staff said he was ready when they played him early in the season and started him in our most hostile road game....since then I guess they think they were wrong or have given up on getting him live snaps.

Should bring in both and let them battle it out, even though Kelly seems like he has an awful attitude. We need anything but Jennings next year. If Miles has given up on Harris, bring in someone else who has a chance.

What if many of us are wrong and Harris just isn't any good?

That's my biggest fear about the program, that Miles is just protecting Harris and they all know he isn't any good.

There's a reason he hasn't played much, and I'm not jaded enough to chalk it up to Miles' stubbornness.

Really?

Forget about the AJ/Harris stuff. Les hasn't done enough for you to label him extremely stubborn?

We damn sure know he can't play any worse than Jennings did against Ar-kansas!

So you are of the opinion that the safe play calling is not a result of bad qb play but what the coaches wanted? Really?
