I think that explains the extra police in the area.

48 hours from this afternoon would be right before the holiday, so I imagine a lot of the outside agitators would go back home to Chicago for a while.

True. I'm not a cop defender by any means, but I'd this guy is indicted, it will just be to appease the angry mob. And it's disgusting that our judicial system is so screwed.

Also, I don't know much about a GJ. If they don't indict, can they trump up other charges or appeal the finding?

There has been a steady leak of "not going to indict" for a long time.

I think the only question now is how will protesters react when they announce it. my 2 cents
