Let us talk Fantasy quarterbacks....

How many are worthy of a 1st or 2nd round pick? Brees, P. Manning, A. Rodgers?
How many are worthy of a 3rd or 4th round pick? T. Brady, T. Romo, P. Rivers, A. Luck, C. Newton?
Seems the drop off from top 4 (Manning, Brady, Rodgers, and Brees) is a nice drop off, well Luck is progressing to replace one of those 4.
Big Ben has decent numbers but a lot of that came in a 3 week span where he threw 14 TD vs 0 INT and 1127 yards.
Romo has been the most consistent of the second tier quarterbacks it seems and is always a decent fantasy play

I don't like my team when I take a QB in the first, so I normally get one in the 4th or 5th.

Brady and luck are in tier 1 right now. With brees falling in to the bottom of tier 1. Imo

Looking at one of my leagues right now (4pt TD pass) and top 10 looks like this

2. P. Manning
3. A. Rodgers
4. R. wilson
5. B. Roethlisberger
6. T. Brady
7. R. Tannehill
8. J. Cutler
9. P. Rivers
10. M. Ryan
of course Brees is #11 and still has tonight to play, so if he can put up 20 he moves into 7th place.
Then 12-20

13. C. Kaepernick
14. T. Romo
15. M. Stafford
16. C. Newton
17. J. Flacco
18. A. Smith
19. A. Dalton
20. B. Hoyer

The elite fantasy QBs are Luck, Rodgers, and Manning.
Brees, Brady, and Cam are Tier 2 and everyone else is match up dependent.

I never really go elite qb i just mostly stream or try to buy low on one. But fwiw the year i won my league my first pick was Arod and he dominated all year

Thinking of dropping Kaep for mettenberger or mccown.
I'm tired of him dropping 13 every week. Also, I have rivers, but he's been week and has a tough matchup next week. Mett has a good matchup.

As much as we talk about fantasy running backs being hit or miss, quarterbacks are the same way it seems

I draft RB, WR, WR, RB.
QBs are interchangeable outside of the top 3-4

I always go qb round 2 unless the elite ones are gone.

That was pretty much my strategy, though I went RB, WR, RB, WR.
My first 8 picks were RB/WR (Forte, Nelson, Stacy, Djax, Gerhart, Hilton, Maclin and Watkins). I got lucky with the WRs and misfired on the RBs, but I have since used some the WRs as trade bait.

I went TE/RB/wr/wr this year in 1 league (grabbed Jimmy at #9) Forte, Lacy, AP, McCoy, Calvin, AJ, Charles, P. Manning were taken

Luck, Peyton and Rodgers are the only QBs worth 1st or 2nd round picks currently.

For me personally I like to grab a top flight QB knowing that I can find value later in the draft at other positions. When I have waited on QBs more often than not I have picked the wrong ones.
