Why is Bill Clinton still universally loved despite all the rape and sexual deviancy accusations

But Bill Cosby is becoming more and more toxic by the day

We get it - Cos is black. Clinton merely pretends to be when it is convenient.

This was brought up on a morning show today. The guy doing the talking said by keeping the Cosby controversy on the front burner this could actually hurt HC because of Slick's travelling libido back in the day. He might have a point.

One stays inline with the liberal machine; one doesn't.

Nothing funnier than watching Hillary "get black". Sounds like a combination of Leghorn Foghorn and Jesse Jackson.

Bill Clinton's rehabilitation defies logic.

What do they believe about abortion?
The culture in general?
Race issues?

It doesn't matter what you do. Just say the "right things" and you can pretty much do what you want.

This is a very good subject for a thread, imo. Hey, I voted for Clinton twice, but he has literally gotten away with murder when it comes to his behavior.

Well, maybe not murder.....but I wouldn't rule it out.

Clinton was a powerful man, and he was on the right side of the political fence. Hence, the media didn't go after him.

I think Cosby is a likeable guy, but he's an 80 year-old comedian. The incentive to protect him (now) isn't that great.

Plus, the mistreatment of women has never been more unacceptable than it is now....which is a good thing as long as any and all accusations are legitimate.

The more I read about the Cosby case the more I believe it really was not rape. More akin to prostitution. I'm not calling the women professional prostitutes but they knew who they were dealing with from the beginning and they knew there would be financial reward. And not a single won filed charges with the police.

Thanks. A little pandering, perhaps?

As I'm sure someone will note, Cosby is not getting protected because he espouses views unpopular to the left and the black community, mainly that kids need to get their heads out of their asses and learn to speak and act properly in order to have a chance of success.

In general, he is trying to point out what needs to be fixed and a lot of people don't like that for various reasons. On the surface, they claim "victim blaming" and so forth against him. Below the surface, it is because a lot of people would like kids to stay as ignorant and impoverished as possible so that they are easy to control IMHO.

It doesn't change whether Cos is guilty or not, but sure explains why he is being ostracized rather than being a rallying point like Clinton, Roman Polanski, etc.

Who accused Bill Clinton of rape?

I only remember the extra-marital affairs...

Pretty sure Clinton did not have to drug white women for sex.

Juanita Broaderick. He gave her a black eye in the process.

Juanita Broderick, for one.

And Willey alleged the groping on the day her husband killed himself.

There are pros and cons for the credibility of both women's allegations.

I'm not saying I believe everything anyone says about WJC, ever, but there are few sexual allegations that seem beyond possibility. And that is a sad indictment of a very, very flawed human being who happened to be POTUS for 8 years.

The girl Roman raped has repeatedly said that he should not be prosecuted. She maintains that the sex had no ill effects on her life at all.

I'm not a big Polanski movie fan but I did love 'Fearless Vampire Killers.'

One woman accused him of rape and has questionable credibility. She even signed an affidavit denying the rape. Other women accused him of having an affair with them, which is credible and also something that no one really cares about.

I really don't understand that at all. The stories of women taking pills intentionally, claim that he slipped pills into their drinks even though they never saw it, and even one who somehow "negotiated" the rape into oral instead... Sounds like a bunch of groupies who were partying it up and they probably have no idea who they had sex with.

As well as a swollen lip.

He then allegedly left her with the infamous quote: "You'd better put some ice on that."
