But go on and keep pretending that the offense didn't underachieve last year with those players and that it isn't a direct result of who the coach is.

So go with reality?

I also love how you're giving ZERO credit to Cameron or Miles for developing those players. Where do you think Landry and Odell learned to run those routes?

2 receptions.

this thread is based off of two receptions.

James Wright was at best the 4th best receiver on our team, and was most likely the 5th best wr on the team.

Dural, and Boone were better than him.

The fact that the TE and FB helped Hill rush to 1400 yards, and the team rush to another 1200 on top of that doesn't matter?

It is not rocket science. Some things are givens. This is not original, a secret, or profound. Square pegs do not fit in round holes! Recruiting classes don't always fulfill a coach's wish list. Great coaches are very skilled at evaluating players and if the best ones do not fit a coach's preferred scheme, take the blinders off and find a way to maximize the personnel you have. Be creative. The most successful coaches are WILLING and ABLE to do this. Just say'in...

when you have the two best receivers in the world to send out why did you send out for receivers and the plate you blockers by two on the quarterback who is not mobile

Copeland was one of most overrated players in a Tiger history. Dude was in the way most of the time he was out there. I agree with the OP, last year offense was great, but it could have been legendary if the talent was used properly.

You don't see LSU putting up 1000 yards per game because they don't run the HUNH

did the 6 SEC teams that finished above us in offense productivity all run the HUNH last year?

I agree with the OP,

the offense could have and should of been great last year. I was surprised to learn we finished 4th in the sec in total defense so I looked it up and we actually finished 3rd. Defense didn't suck as bad as so many say. With that talent on offense and that defense we should have had a much better season. Once again the O was the anchor that held us back.

we finished 5th in the SEC in rushing offense behind Missourri, Arkansas, Alabama, and Auburn. Even though they didn't have the great threat of a passing attack from players of the caliber of Landry OBJ or Mett. Nor did they have Hill running the ball. We sacrificed everything for the run but still finished 5th.

we have one plan that we use game after game after game. We like to bang our heads against brick walls hoping that one day it will crack dispite that we keep breaking our own skulls

To the guy earlier that said there are 3 parts to a team, you are correct sir. And with the exception of last year, our defense has carried us every year that Miles has been here. Thank you Chief!

the variable many people fail to consider is the limit on practice hours for college football players that does not exist for nfl football players.
