This looks to be a good deal on this Yamaha receiver.. My only question is would I be able to play music on my patio also with it. What do yall think of this one or does anyone else have any other ones to suggest? I'm trying to stay under 350.

I'm assuming you want a receiver that can play one thing inside your home and something separate on the patio. I am certainly no expert on receivers, but you probably want one that can handle multi(dual)-zones. I have an Onkyo 626 and I really like the features. I control it almost exclusively via the Android app. It is closer to $500, but it looks like you could buy the Onkyo 525 ($250) and a USB adapter ($25) to make it wireless and a bluetooth adapter as well ($38). I paid about $300 for a yamaha 671 (in 2012) that has dual zones (or 7.1 if that's your thing). Check it out.
Can also control it from an app from patio

FYI...if you want to use the receiver for TV in one room while simultaneously play music on the patio you will need a multi-source receiver. Most are over your budget, but some are available.
Here is a Denon AVR-e400 for $350. I would buy it now as there are few left. It has an assignable 2nd zone that can play another source. No pre-amp for expansion, so it really can only play in one other room like your patio.

Buy refurbished at Accessories 4 Less.
In many cases, the refurbished units look just as good as an unopened, unused A/V receiver. Same can be said for almost all of their products.

I'm always up for pushing Yamaha in a receiver thread. (I have an Aventage A-820).
my thread from this morning got no love, so I'm glad to see some people taking advantage of the deal

I looked at the 675 manual and couldn't get a clear answer...does the receiver send audio through the HDMI output? i.e. Does TV still have audio through its speakers?

Sorry bro. I saw your thread and bumped this one with it since the op was looking for something with 2 zones in that price range. (And I had already mentioned the 675 model)
Altough I bought an onkyo unit (and regretted it), I later recommended and installed a 600 series Yamaha receiver for a friend and really liked it

Usually if your receiver is in pass through mode (turned off), it will pass sound through to the TV speakers, but if its on- will not pass sound through.
