Not quite sure what Monty was doing with Davis checking Thompson most of the night. Nothing like having your best defensive player largely taken out of the game.

Even with a "good" season it was much more likely than not that they wouldn't make the playoffs even with Gordon. Who can you say they can beat out over an 82 game season that was in the playoffs last year? Without other teams having major injuries I can't see any. OKC looked like a team they could beat out but if those 2 guys come back Friday and don't miss extended time going forward they have more than enough time to get to high 40 wins. And they'd also have to beat out Sacramento and Phoenix.
