Wow this is seriously disturbing when you look at the demographics of this country and see how much whites outnumber blacks (~78% white and ~16% black).

it's even more mind-numbing when you realize the vast majority are young black males, so it's something like 3.6-5% of the population

Actually, that is irrelevant because it can be argued both ways.
Less blacks to kill whites but more whites to be killed.
Or.
Less blacks to be killed but more whites to kill blacks.
The ratio should be closer to 5:1

Considering the fact that Whites outnumber Blacks 6 to 1, I'm not surprised. If Blacks and Whites killed each other completely at random, the numbers would be a lot more lopsided than that, but since most people are murdered by people they know, the numbers are lower. By the way, the vast majority of White folks are murdered by White folks and the vast majority of Black folks are murdered by Black folks.

Unless and until blacks hold themselves to the same standards as everyone else.....they will continue to be second class citizens....and they will have no one to blame but themselves.
Blacks as a group continue to be held on the "plantation" by the modern day slave masters (progressive liberal Dimocrats).....because they buy into the line that they can only advance in life with the "help" of the federal government.....

And I bet a lot of those "white on black" killings are actually Mexicans and Puerto Ricans since it doesn't differentiate between Hispanics and European whites.
So the discrepancy is even larger than those numbers show.
And as far as the police is concerned... how many cases are there of a white officer killing a black man unjustly in a given year? Probably relatively few. And think of the number of white police officers who come into contact with black people on a daily basis. Their job also consists of carrying a gun and bringing in criminals. Simply due to the nature of their work, there are bound to be incidents.
So the discrepancy is even larger than those numbers show.
