I have a friend who claims to be "conservative," but is always saying "There ought to be a law..."

It's nice to have soi-disant libertarians like Sentrius and SlowFlowPro and Klarvin who buck on issues, but I submit that no matter how many times one says "frick the police" in a bad cop thread, if they're rooting for the GOP in the election gameday threads and taking clear stances on partisan political issues such as, say, Congressional jockeying, then that's cheerleading, just slightly more qualified cheerleading.

i've never voted for a GOP'er for president or senator (i did vote for Boustany in 2012 and 2014 b/c i know him and there are only GOP opposition candidates)

i detest Fox News and pretty much never watch it. when i'm unfortunately left in a waiting room blaring FNC, i get all pissed inside

i enjoy taking anti-DEM stances on election day b/c their melt is better than GOP melt

I've been posting here for 8 years at this point. I have a perfect understanding of what this board is about.

It has been my humble observation that you have a perfect understanding of very little....

So 1 ballot initiative = everything?

Maybe those people aren't 1 issue voters and agree with the GOP on more issues than Democrats.

And very few people understand the ramifications of raising the minimum wage. It's frustrating

the 2014 election drew an extremely low turnout

That's "dog whistle" or "code" for saying that the black vote didn't turn out for Dems.

I don't begrudge the principle here because it's basically how I post, but on this forum? There's like half a dozen partisan Dem posters here, and I didn't see most of them around election day. Using this forum as a Team Blue lulzmine is like drilling for oil in... Missouri or some shite.

I see it as more Americans want economic stability and less government.
