I had to stop by GameStop yesterday and I saw that the joint was closed.

It had a sign on the window from the corporate office saying that this location is closed immediately.

All of the tables and chairs, decorations, etc etc are still there.

Anyone know why they closed? I really enjoyed their burgers.

Because I'm still waiting for my order. Slowest service outside of nursing homes.

I liked their burgers, but not enough to eat there often. And yes their service was too slow. BR is saturated with burger joints nowadays. Cheeburger's crappy location probably didn't help either.

I haven't eaten their burgers yet either. Normally if I want a burger I just go to BK and pray that my whopper is fresh and that it's not tainted with reverse racism.

service went downhill really fast. I'm not sure if they changed management or what happened but after the last time we went, i swore i would not go back. apparently i wasn't the only one.

I love Mooyah...but we used to go to CheeChee once a month. It has been a year, at least.

I honestly hate to see them go!

in the end, their shakes were the only thing they had going for them.

I went once - about 10 years ago - with some college buddies where we each got "The Pounder" and nailed it.

Wasn't impressed. Was surprised they made it as long as they did. Didn't even realize it was a chain.

Same. I work down the street, and have never gone.

I've been once, and that was 6+ years ago.

I actually liked their burger and fries, but I found it expensive. It was $30 for my wife to get a burger, fries and fountain drinks. It also seemed to take forever.

They were great when they were kinda the only game in town for that sorta thing. They really were ahead of their time. Their burgers weren't spectacular, but they were better than most of what was around at that time. Being the only game in town, people were willing to tolerate the slow service.

Once the craft burger craze really took-off down here (about 2-3 years ago), people had more options for better burgers. The long wait was no longer justified for a product that could be found more quickly elsewhere. Therefor their business suffered.

It's a shame to see them go as most of my high school friends worked there as teenagers, but they've simply been replaced by better alternatives. Sad but true.

Over the years I had both good and mediocre experiences with them. It's probably been two years since I've been. And probably a year or more before that. Inconsistent burgers is what done them in for me. And I never liked the table spacing. I always felt a little too close to my fellow diners. And I never really liked the 1950's and 1980's mixed decor.

Where is the Siegen Lane BurgerSmith going to be? That won't help them any either.

Why did they change their bun? Last time I went, the bun was different.

Craft burger craze has been going on longer than 2-3 years ago.
