Comparing this to Miles isn't really fair to Miles. Les has screwed up on the last few seconds of games where everything is hectic and one needs to make a quick decision. What Smith did today was damn near mentally special status. It wasn't a hectic fast paced situation at all, yet he snapped the ball twice with 15+ seconds and called a timeout himself

No way Blank is going to fire Smith before we're eliminated from the playoffs. If we're eliminated from playoffs before the end of the season, then I could see Blank making the call and allowing Koetter to interim for any remaining games. There's no question that Smith is gone this year and with the announcement of PSL's coming soon for 2017, they know that they need to make some changes to get a strong showing of PSL's.

Truth. As long as there is any chance of the Falcons making the playoffs, firing the head coach is idiotic.
