As you should, as you consistently ignored my point to post inconclusive "evidence" about offensive rebounding statistics to refute their importance to a game. Yes, that it is what it was all about, and I stayed consistent.

You also crutch on condescending remarks to back up your claims. Oh these people do this for a living, we should listen to them, although they all seem to draw different conclusions from the stats. Forgive me for not taking that as gospel. I must be stupid because I don't agree with conflicting conclusions of "experts". Give me a break.

Its these types of posts that make this board insufferable at times. You don't allow for any "discussion," because you are trying to appear educated and refute positions that were never taken by posting a bunch of articles of people drawing their own conclusions of what stats are telling them. Am I not allowed to do the same (draw my own conclusions)?

It is pretty simple, if you are going to assert that defending something from happening is important (a defensive rebound prevents an offensive rebound), then actually executing that something (controlling an offensive rebound), has to be important to someone.

I have said something along those lines in every post, and in every response you have either tried to insult me, or defend a position that I never brought up.

bullshite. I posted that people are unsure just how much value OREB has.

You took exception to that. I posted responses explaining why I said that. You offered nothing other than your experience and individual view. Forgive me for not taking the personal opinion of Ocean Man at Tigerdroppings.com as a truth from the basketball gods. I wouldn't expect you or anyone else to treat me any differently.

I don't give two shits about being right. I'm more than happy to eat crow when I'm wrong and I'm always happy to learn new things about basketball.

I repeatedly asked you to give me something besides anecdotes. You could have done a 5 minute Google search and found a half dozen links that support your position. I would have read them all and been thrilled to discuss and reevaluate what I said.

You expected me to take your thoughts seriously because you have them. That's not enough for me. That doesn't mean you're wrong, but it doesn't mean I have to be convinced you're correct either.
