Do you find it hard to relax/unwind on weekends?

I get antsy if I just sit there and don't do something productive on weekends.

Yesterday I was up at 6 working outside and stopped and showered at noon to relax in the afternoon. I was back outside by 3.

I'm stuck inside with this weather and instead of just being content sitting here watching TV, I'm trying to figure out what I can cook that will take all day.

The only time I ever truly relax and just sit there is at the beach.

Anyone else have this issue?

Nope. I love doing nothing on the weekends. I am also trying to figure out what I can spend the day cooking. But I find that relaxing.

I do too. Especially owning a house, I feel like there is always something I should be doing.

Take up hunting and fishing to occupy your weekend time.

Yes I have to be super productive or super lazy...one extreme or the other. Hard to relax but once I get there it's hard to get back into work mode.

It's easy to kick back and relax, but I'd rather be doing something on Saturdays and save the unwinding on Sundays. Whether it's LSU football, hunting or fishing, or hanging out with people like I did yesterday, I always like something to do on Saturdays.

Sundays are church, the Saints (when applicable), then sit around and be a bum.

I'm the same. The wife says its genetic because most of the men in my family are the same.

I am the same. I can't stop, can't relax. I have to have something to do or I go crazy.

I think it's nature/nurture. Some people need to be active snd or productive. Some people don't. But I also think-or should I say know-that if you are experiencing elevated stress at work/etc then you won't relax one way or the other, and may even have trouble sleeping.

How does your wife know the weekend habits of the men in your family?

Oh, it's genetic. I'm just like my parents, my wife is just like hers.

Good news, the roku in my shed isn't picking up my wireless network so it looks like I'll have to run an Ethernet cable from there to the house.

Right here.

I'm working so much right now I feel like if I don't spend my weekends doing something I'm wasting my free time. Then I'll start thinking about work again. Sucks. Usually have a hard time going to bed on Sunday nights.
