I'd just like to see Harris get some meaningful playing time now. Not at the beginning of next season.

That is the problem, our first SEC game next year is the 2nd game of the season at Miss St then at home against Auburn. Other than the rest of this year "2 games" there really isn't anymore time to continue to get him acclimated to the speed of the game. And if he doesn't win the job outright in the spring how much playing time do you expect him to get against McNeese State. I would assume the coaches will want to make sure things are working well with the projected starter and the back up will only see mop up duty so that the starter is better prepared for the following 2 weeks.

Looking ahead this could really get ugly at the start of next season if these QB issues don't get fixed.

Exactly why I said it would behoof Miles to give Harris some playing time now.

Don't wait until those games show up next season to then try to get him ready.

QB play is our only real problem. It is a huge glaring problem, but our only real problem. Yes the offensive system is hella outdated, but with a decent QB (game manager 190 pass yards 1.5 TDs a game) we can make it work.

A guy like Harris changes our future for the better. I no you don't want to hear this, but just wait on it.

Well after reading what Miles has been saying this week regarding Harris and playing time going forward I don't have high hopes.

Like I stated, I guess we'll all find out soon enough. If it were me, I'd let Harris play or at the very least give him some substantial playing time.

Dunno.

I agree with you 100%, I do think Harris gives us a better chance of winning a championship. That being said it doesn't make a lot of sense when things are not working "i.e. QB play against Arkansas" not to try and change things up. Harris did pretty well coming off the bench in a few games this year, they should have given him time in the Arkansas game plain and simple.

This has fricked les too many times. He never airs it out against scubs ( that he doesn't want to show all his plays or saving it for good teams is bullshite) giving his starting qb confidence and never gives his back meaningful time to get some reps. Its like they start the season as a starter with no previous experience.

I feel the exact same way. It's painful now because they are so stubborn, but there is no doubt in my mind that Harris wins the job over the offseason. We are going to be looking back at this year as hitting rock bottom for a team of our caliber. Can't go but up now.

Hopefully Harris is ready to be an average SEC quarterback. That's all we need.

That is the problem with most of you- You want just An Average QB, hell lets get a great QB, or better yet, lets run a better offensive scheme, you know DIVERSITY !!!!

Harris on a team like TCU who made a drastic change this year, or Clemson, or Auburn, he would have shined his first year if an opening would have been there. Our system is fine if there would be 8-10 more passing plays and a few different running plays.. Spread the field more and run out of that... Mis-direction instead of the FB sliding sideways showing exactly where the run gap is going

Definitely one of the sunshine pumpers

Yep. All they are left with is calling any Miles critic "bama-obsessed", "sky is falling", or other such dribble. That's the nature of obsession. They must defend even the indefensible until they (or he) are dead or gone. A lot of long-time supporters of Miles, who were only so because they were trying to be reasonable, have abandoned the sinking Miles ship because, again, they are trying to be reasonable.

The pumpers are having a hard time accepting that they are now the screaming, loud minority.

No. He won't be given the chance.

I wish, but no. Miles has plenty of room to fall and he will show us rock bottom before he is gone. And it will be a lot uglier than this.

Miles will (or has) put a quick stop to that. He is the quarterback killer.

I would, too, but Miles won't. He's guilty of exactly what all the pumpers accuse others of. He'd rather lose and be right than win and be wrong.

I agree the mad hatter shite has worn off. His luck has run out it is time to be a fricking 5 million dollar coach. Drop this bullshite ground and pound I formation shite. You can still run the ball we have stud running backs but please open it up use the TE's like Alabama and arky please. We have elite talent but by god les or whomever Cam please use it to the utmost potential. Chief I can't complain about other than the welter debacle for so long.

It would be better if that were true, but it's not. A deeper problem exists in our program. Well, several actually.

One, Miles isn't a disciplinarian. It's a very easygoing atmosphere and you don't really have to try very hard to keep up. (e.g. Sam Montgomery).

Two, it's emotion-based. Sure, everyone is ready to play against Alabama, but an injury depleted Ole Miss last year or 17-game loser Arkansas this year? Nope. People say it's playing up or down to opponents, but in reality it's just a lack of discipline and control over the team.

Three, who cares? Miles has a top-10 salary guaranteed pretty much forever and is only expected to produce mediocre results. Why would he ever change? Alleva the idiot guaranteed us shite results from now on with the moronic contract extension and raise.

The DECLINE.

It's REAL and it's SPECTACULAR!

(Thanks to God Awful QB/OL recruiting, combined with the ego and stubbornness of the Head Coach)
