Lived up there and oswego few years back. Converted a big group up there into lsu fans. Friends converted their house bar into lsu bar and they still get together every game (bball and football)

Cant wait for the trip

That's kinda what gets me, why don't we play at MetLife? Who wants to go to Syracuse instead of NYC?

We are now required to play one Power 5 OOC game per year.

You will get games like this because of that new rule.

Syracuse is tired of playing all of their high-profile games at MetLife. We asked, they declined.

They are returning the trip to Tiger Stadium in 2017.

I'm going. Never been there before and probably there's a good reason why I've never been there, but there's a group of us season ticket holders who've been to every SEC stadium in the past 30 years, and we like going to new places, especially to places who don't hate us (except West Virginia LOL). We had more fun in Seattle, Atlanta, Tempe, Morgantown (learned before we went where to hang out), and all bowl games. Looking forward to going to Syracuse, Green Bay, Arizona, and Austin in the next few years. Guess it's good I'm drawing a principal's retirement salary and am making spending money working part time doing consulting work.

Subtle you are not.

No subtle is not my strong point...lol. but I will tell it like it is...and I don't play politics. That's why I won 500 games as a head coach, but pissed off people as a principal... lol ... they didn't like hearing truth and so I'm retired.

I'm making the trip too. Love new venues. Trying to figure out if to do nyc before or Niagara Falls and Toronto on back end.

Thoughts? Why the hell did we schedule the game, what's our interest in playing Syracuse?

So that we can go up there and then they can get a better offer and welsh on a return trip to TS. Then, the LSU athletic dept. is left scrambling to replace them with Jackson State.

It's how Alleva rolls.

Good post. For those of us that are non season ticket holders, when and where can we get tickets? What is the average price of that game?

Good Point - Hope LSU is not foolish enough to take anybody for granted. We had that New Mexico State team in the game until Jennings got pulled in the 2nd quarter. Everybody wants to forget about how many times we are unprepared to even start the game.

Lee if you pay more than $20 to sit on the sidelines in that POS stadium to see that POS home team play our tigers I would be shocked. They will be giving those away before the game. I would think Cuse sells maybe 10K season tix.

I'm probably the only LSU fan excited for us to be playing Syracuse. Both my parents are originally from Syracuse and I have a lot of family up there. As for the game it will be a blowout. Syracuse is definitely a basketball school. There fans during basketball season can be assholes, but they should be a good fan base to tailgate with for football. I've talked to several friends of mine who go to Syracuse who are very excited for this home and away. Theyve heard how great LSU tailgating is so I hope we can get a lot of LSU fans up north to show them a good time.

Also we're playing in Syracuse because they hate playing in Met life just as much as we hate playing in Dallas. Syracuse tries to market itself as New York's football team, but it should really be upstate New York's team. NYC could give 2 shits about Syracuse football

Nobody in NYC cares about Syracuse football. Rutgers only d1,team. In New York Tv market. Even UConn closer.
