Thoughts on Syracuse

Playing against Pitt on ESPNU.
I've never had a reason to watch a snap of Syracuse football before, but I wanted to check them out given that we're on a bye and they're an early game on our schedule next season.
Offense hasn't scored and the defense looks winded, clueless, and generally unskilled. Any reason to expect anything different when we make the trip north next fall?

I'm going. Never been there before and probably there's a good reason why I've never been there, but there's a group of us season ticket holders who've been to every SEC stadium in the past 30 years, and we like going to new places, especially to places who don't hate us (except West Virginia LOL). We had more fun in Seattle, Atlanta, Tempe, Morgantown (learned before we went where to hang out), and all bowl games. Looking forward to going to Syracuse, Green Bay, Arizona, and Austin in the next few years.
Guess it's good I'm drawing a principal's retirement salary and am making spending money working part time doing consulting work.

Thoughts? Why the hell did we schedule the game, what's our interest in playing Syracuse?

It's a home and home. I think they come here in 16 or 17.

The worst move ever by Verge and his boss Joey. Pitiful team in a pitiful stadium to far from Manhattan for anyone to give a frick about going.

That's kinda what gets me, why don't we play at MetLife? Who wants to go to Syracuse instead of NYC?
Posted on 11/22/14 at 6:43 pm to Emiliooo
I agree but I live 15 minutes from Met Life

I'm going too. My wife, whom I met Tulane Grad School, is a Syracuse undergrad and now a converted tiger fan, except for BBall.
New York City on Friday Night for sure and then the train from NYC to Syracuse on Saturday morning, we already have our room in Manhattan.

coaches game plan their arse off and come away with an awe inspiring 20-15 victory and AJ is 5 of 18 for 72 yards, all to Dural...

ACC game
Just keep this in perspective:
1. Our last ACC opponent beat us
2. A decent Duke team took JFF and A&M to the wire last year.
3. The ACC champ beat the SEC champ for the Nationsl Championship last year.
With where we are right now we need to take everybody as if they are the greatest of all time...even if they are not !

That often means we play there, they never come here.

I'm flying to Chicago, taking the train to Syracuse. Then taking the train from Syracuse to New York and flying back to Houston. Going to take a week and see everything I can including Niagara Falls. I plan to sleep going through Cleveland lol
